Elementor pages are made of containers (sections) that hold widgets such as headings, text, images and buttons.

Add a widget to an existing section

  1. Open the page in Elementor and click the + (Add Element) icon in the top bar to open the list of widgets.
  2. Use the search box to find what you need, for example "Heading", "Image" or "Button".
  3. Drag the widget onto the page. A blue line shows where it will land.
  4. Click the new widget to fill in its content.

Add a new section

  1. Scroll to where you want the section, and hover between two existing sections.
  2. Click the + that appears (or use the + box at the bottom of the page).
  3. Choose a layout, such as one column or two columns side by side.
  4. Drag widgets into it as above.

The quickest way: duplicate

To keep new content matching the rest of your site, copy something that already exists. Right-click a section or widget and choose Duplicate, then change the wording and images in the copy.

Moving and deleting

  • Move: drag a widget by its handle, or open Structure (Navigator) in the top bar and drag items up and down the list.
  • Delete: right-click and choose Delete, or select it and press the Delete key.
  • Copy to another page: right-click, choose Copy, then right-click on the other page and choose Paste.

Templates

If your site has saved templates, click the folder icon in the + box to insert a ready-made section from My Templates.

Note: some older sites use Sections and Columns instead of containers. They work the same way: add a section, then drag widgets into its columns.
