Your header (logo and menu) and footer appear on every page, so they're edited separately from the page content.
This guide needs Elementor Pro. If your site doesn't have Pro, your header and footer are controlled by your WordPress theme. Look under Appearance → Customize, or ask us to make the change.
Open the Theme Builder
- In WordPress, go to Templates → Theme Builder (or Elementor → Theme Builder on some sites).
- Click Header or Footer in the list.
- Hover over your active header or footer and click Edit.
Shortcut: while editing any page, you can usually hover over the header and click its edit icon to jump straight in.
Making changes
Editing works just like a normal page. Click the logo, menu, phone number or footer text to change it, then click Publish. The change appears across the whole site.
Common edits
- Logo: click it and choose a new image. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background works best.
- Phone number or email: click the text or icon list and update it, including the link (see How to edit buttons and links in Elementor).
- Menu items: these come from Appearance → Menus in WordPress, not from the header itself.
- Copyright year and company details: usually in a Text Editor widget in the footer.
Display Conditions
When you publish, Elementor may ask about Display Conditions. These decide which pages the header or footer appears on. Leave them as Entire Site unless you've been told otherwise, as changing them can make your header disappear from some pages.
