These steps add your OX App Suite mailbox to Microsoft Outlook on a Windows PC using IMAP.

New Outlook and Outlook for Microsoft 365

  1. Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account (or Settings → Accounts → Add account in the new Outlook).
  2. Enter your email address and click Continue.
  3. If Outlook asks which type of account, choose IMAP.
  4. Enter the settings below, then click Continue or Connect.

Classic Outlook (2016, 2019, 2021) using manual setup

  1. Open Control Panel, set View by to small icons and click Mail.
  2. Click Show Profiles, then Add. Give the profile a name and click OK.
  3. Choose Manual setup or additional server types, then Next.
  4. Choose POP or IMAP (Internet E-mail on some versions), then Next.
  5. Fill in your name and email address, set Account Type to IMAP, and enter the servers and login details below.
  6. Click More Settings. On the Outgoing Server tab, tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and choose Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  7. On the Advanced tab, set the ports and encryption as below.
  8. Click OK, then Next. Outlook sends a test message to check everything works.

Settings to enter

  • Incoming server (IMAP): imap.us.appsuite.cloud, port 993, SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.us.appsuite.cloud, port 587 with STARTTLS (or 465 with SSL/TLS)
  • Username: your full email address
  • Password: your mailbox password

Give Outlook up to 15 minutes to download your existing email before deciding something's wrong. Large mailboxes can take longer.

Problems?

  • Keeps asking for your password: check that the username is your full email address and the password is correct. Try logging in to webmail to confirm it.
  • Can receive but not send: make sure outgoing server authentication is ticked and the SMTP port matches the encryption type.
